Fire at Night at Orlando Speed World

If you wanted to toast marshmallows or make smoars, this was the place to be. You could feel the heat all the way up in the stands. I have never been to a night time version of this so i had to check it out. During the day it was just normal drag racing and i will post pics later.

Enjoy

Mopars at Ocala Horse Park

Took a drive north (hehehe) today to Ocala to check out the  mopar show. Nice leisure two hr drive trough some beautiful horse country. There are some unbelievable horse estates here that just make you drool. The show was held on one of the biggest horse facility in Florida.  Horsepower on the farm. A horse show was on at the same time so i had to add some horse pics. If you are into hemi’s and max wedges this was the place to be. All these mopars and not one 67 or 68 fastback cuda to be seen. I just have to bring my 68 down next year. Enjoy the picks.

Daytona Dream Cruise 2017

What a beautiful day for a car show. It feels good to be back. This is such a nice venue with the river in the background and the shops and restaurants on the main street. Not as many cars as in previous years but still a decent turnout.

Roger and Jodie at Barrett Jackson Auction in Vegas

And now for something totally different. Instead of showing pictures of cars you will see a happy couple, a very happy couple, enjoying the Vegas scene at the Barrett Jackson Auction. Roger and Jodie won this trip at the Verona Car Show. It was one of the major door prizes. I happen to watch the auction and captured these images. Looks like they are having fun.

Metcalfe Fair Car Show October 1st 2017

Were can you have a Sunday dinner for breakfast. Metcalfe Fair. Ham,Roast Pork,Mashed Potatoes Gravy,Veggies and Beans. Wow, and finish it off with Pumpkin Pie and Whipped Cream all before 9:00 am.  Good thing for a car show, to help walk it off. For October the day was perfect which must have drawn a record number of cars. They were crammed and jammed everywhere. Some new rides i have never seen before. Truck and tractor pull finished the day. This day sure made up for all the rain outs this year.

Enjoy the pics

Almonte Car Show

What a fantastic turnout. Parking for 150 cars and we managed to squeeze in 280.  A very special thanks goes out to Roger McGetchie and his parking crew for pulling this off. I dont know how he did this but he is the parking myster. Another very special thanks to the HWY 43 Car Club, without their help this would not have happened. WE managed to raise close to $4000.00 for the Almonte Hospital.  Thanks to all the cars that showed and thanks to all the sponsors that made this happen.

Verona Car Show August 2017

The day was perfect with no rain in sight. The Ottawa convoy headed out for a  scenic 1 1/2 drive. This show draws a lot of attention due to its mega prizes. About 250 cars showed.  The 50/50 was around $700  The grand prize was an all expense paid trip to Vegas. So, the winner was our very own Roger (Hot Wheels 70 Chevy) McGetchie. Roger and Jodie attend most cars shows with both cars, so this is a well deserved win. Jodie also ended up winning her class. What a way to end the day. I have never seen Jodie so exited and you should have seen the dust she laid down racing up to the podium to pick up the tickets. CONGRATS   Enjoy the pics.
